The Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF), an entity of the Department of Employment and Labour, invites members of the media to attend an Employer Seminar scheduled to take place in Gauteng Province on 27 November 2025.
This seminar forms part of the UIF's continued efforts to strengthen relationships with employers, enhance compliance, and improve service delivery to businesses and workers across the country. The engagement will convene UIF officials, employers, industry representatives, payroll administrators, and HR practitioners to share important updates on a range of topics, including the Unemployment Insurance Act, Labour Activation Programme, UIF Online Declaration, Reduced Work-Time Benefits, the Compensation Fund, the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), Inspection and Enforcement Services, and insights from Productivity SA.
The event aims to empower employers with practical knowledge to ensure compliance with labour regulations and avoid potential legal risks. Technical experts from the UIF and various branches of the Department of Employment and Labour will be available to provide guidance and assist employers with any operational or administrative challenges they may be facing. Journalists will be afforded an opportunity to engage with UIF leadership and obtain insights into the Fund's strategic initiatives focused on improving employer support and strengthening social protection coverage.
