The Department of Employment and Labour in the Free State to Host a Career’s Fair and Taking Services to the People Campaig

The Department of Employment and Labour in the Free State, through its Public Employment Services (PES) unit, in partnership with the Mafube Local Municipality, will host a Career's Fair and Taking Services to the People Campaign on Thursday, 26 February 2026, in Frankfort.

The event aims to create a platform for work-seekers to engage directly with prospective employers, government departments, and private institutions that provide support for employment placement, skills development, and learning opportunities.

The Career's Fair will offer work-seekers from Frankfort and surrounding areas access to the following services:

  • Registration on the Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) System
  • Career Information and Guidance
  • Employment Counselling
  • Job search Tools and Assessments

    The programme will feature services from:
  • Public Employment Services (PES): Work-Seeker Registration, Employment Counselling and Opportunity Canvassing
  • Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES): Compliance Enquiries and Inspections
  • Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF): Claims Enquiries, Applications and Processing
  • Compensation Fund (CF): Processing of Claims for Occupational Injuries and Diseases
  • Exhibitions: Various stakeholders and the Departmental Mobile Units will be showcasing their service offerings

    In addition to the Career's Fair, the Taking Services to the People Campaign will run concurrently, with various government departments and private institutions rendering services to the community.

    All clients are requested to bring their Identity Documents (IDs), and work-seekers are further encouraged to bring along their Curriculum Vitae (CVs).
