The Compensation Fund will host Schedule 3 Review conference targeting, Academics, Medical Practitioners, Employer groups, Organised labour, and Government agencies from Gauteng Province.

The purpose of the conference is to give an update on the amendments to the Schedule 3 of the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA) 130 of 1993 as amended. The conference will also provide an opportunity to both the Compensation Fund and stakeholders to discuss way forward on how to deal with Guidelines, Policies and Regulations on the new conditions according to section 66 of the COID Act.

The schedule 3 review procedure is a ratification process of the International Labour Organization (ILO) occupational diseases list. This ratification allows for the additions of more conditions with occupational causation link to be included in the final list of Schedule 3 of the COIDA 130 of 1993 as amended.
