Productivity SA Annual General Meeting

The chairman of the entity responsible for promoting employment growth and productivity within South Africa, Productivity SA, Professor Mthunzi Mdwaba, invites members of the media to Productivity SA 's Annual General Meeting (AGM).

 

Professor Mdwaba is an accomplished businessman, organised business activist, academic and thought leader.  Over the years, he has been a generous contributor to global social dialogue and global governance as an ex-officio member of the Global Commission on the Future of Work; employer spokesman for the programme, finance and administration; past chairman of the employers at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Turin International Training Centre; member of the B20 task force on employment and education(and co-chair at the G20 Germany as well as the G20 Italy); and chairman of the Business Human Rights and Responsible Business Conduct Policy Working Group of the IOE.

 

 Professor Mdwaba says "AGMs are not known for good attendance - but we must build this country together and the AGM is where we need all hands-on deck to rebuild South Africa".  Productivity SA is established in terms of Section 31 of the Employment Services Act, No. 4 of 2014 as a juristic person to promote employment growth and productivity. The Department of Employment and Labour (DEL) entity has achieved an unqualified audit opinion for seven consecutive years.  Members of the media are invited to AGM as follows:
