EMPLOYMENT SERVICES BOARD CHAIRPERSON   

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

 

  • Honours or Post-graduate degree (NQF 8) in: Economics, Law, Human Resources Development, or Development studies.
  • 5 years functional experience in an environment that was responsible for employment creation, social responsibility funding, and undertaking large-scale developmental projects.

 

DUTIES:

  • Provide stewardship and ensure that the Board performs its functions as prescribed in the Employment Services Act No.4 of 2014;
  • Preside over Board and the Executive Committee meetings of the Board;
  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of the Board Strategic Plan and Annual Plans in line with the Departmental planning cycle.
  • Ensure that Board members uphold and function in accordance with the approved Constitution of the Board;
  • Advocate and champion the delivery of effective and efficient employment services in the country;
  • Assume responsibility in communicating Board decisions and reporting on the Board's behalf   

 

The appointment will also be sensitive to issues of woman and people with disabilities. 

 

REMUNERATION:

R 3 686.00 per day for planned 8 annual meetings subject to annual review by the National Treasury.
