Employment and Labour Unemployment Insurance Fund to host Community Outreach Programme in Ceres- Western Cape

The Department of Employment and Labour in Western Cape province will be hosting a community outreach programme in Ceres on Saturday, 26 March 2022.

The UIF is a key business unit of the Department and its services directly impacts the livelihoods of the community in Ceres. The unit is responsible for the processing and payment of unemployment benefits claims providing short-term financial relief to the unemployed.

The outreach aims to provide same-day service to all unemployed clients applying for UIF benefits.

The following Department of Employment and Labour services will also be rendered on the day:

  • COIDA – Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act – Enquiries/ Applications/ Employer Registration
  • PES – Public Employment Services – Registration of work seekers on ESSA
  • IES – Inspection and Enforcement Services – Attend to basic conditions of employment and labour relations enquiries
  • CCMA – Commission for Conciliation Mediation and Arbitration

 

Members of the public are encouraged to bring along the following documents:

  1. ID Document or Passport
  2. Completed UI-19 & salary Schedule
  3. Bank stamped UI- 2.8 Form

The outreach programme will be held as follows:

Date: Saturday, 26 March 2022

Venue: Ceres Satellite Office, 100 Voortrekker Drive, 6835 

Time:  08:00 -14:00

All Covid-19 protocols will be observed.
