The Department of Employment and Labour is set to take a basket of services to the people of Govan Mbeki Municipality on 30 September and 01 October 2024. This is part of the build-up sessions for the Jobs Fair which is scheduled for the 02 & 03 October 2024 in eMbalenhle Sasol Club / Community Hall.

The Jobs Fair seeks to identify opportunities and solutions that can enhance the capacity of the Department and its partners to deliver on its mandate of creating an enabling environment for job creation for the unemployed people in the province.

During these sessions, the department's entities will be rendering all their services. Public Employment Services (PES) will be registering work seekers in the Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA), Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and Compensation Fund (CF) will be affording community members an opportunity to submit applications for unemployment, maternity, illness, and reduced work time. The Funds will also help clients access services such as checking their registration status, and declaration status whilst also registering employees in the province of Mpumalanga.
