Employment and Labour taking its services to Mossel Bay communities in the Western Cape

The Department of Employment and Labour in collaboration with other government departments and stakeholders will be taking services to the communities in and around Mossel Bay on 23 June 29025.

According to the Acting Chief Director Provincial Operations, David Esau, several services from the department will be on offer including:

  • Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF): Submission of applications, enquiries, processing of claims and payments, and registrations of employers and employees.
  • Public Employment Services (PES): Registration of work-seekers and provision career counselling.
  • Compensation Fund (CF): Submission of applications, claim enquiries as well as follow ups.
  • Inspections an Enforcement Services (IES): Enquiries on Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), National minimum Wage Act (NMWA) as well as Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA).

Those enquiring on UIF and CF applications are encouraged to bring along their identity documents and any information pertaining to their claims. Work-seekers are encouraged to bring along their identity document, copies of qualifications as well as their Curriculum Vitae.
