Employment and Labour Minister to meet with stakeholders in the trucking industry in Mpumalanga province

The Minister of Employment and Labour, TW Nxesi, will tomorrow, Friday (26 March 2021), be making his second visit to Mpumalanga Province, on his quest to meet and interact with stakeholders in the Road Freight and Trucking Industry.

In the meeting, the minister will be joined by the Premiers office, the MEC for Road and Transport and the Mayor of Emalahleni.

The meeting will take place at the Emalahleni Municipality Chamber, where the minister will host the truck driver’s representatives, employers, and other industry role players to discuss among others, labour relations matters and challenges pertaining the sector.

Other stakeholders joining the meeting include the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Department of Transport (DoT), the Provincial Bargaining Council and the South African Police Service in the province.
