The Department of Employment and Labour, in collaboration with Thekwini TVET College, cordially invites members of the media to attend a Career and Job Fair, along with a service delivery initiative, at the Cato Manor Campus of eThekwini TVET College on 20 June 2025.
This event, championed by the Department of Employment and Labour's Public Employment Services (PES) branch, aims to create valuable opportunities for job seekers to engage with potential employers. The Career and Job Fair will also offer on-site departmental services, including:
· Processing Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) applications
· Claims assessment and resolution of UIF inquiries
· Processing Occupational Injuries and Disease claims and inquiries
· Registering job seekers on the Employment Services of South Africa (ESSA) web platform
The service delivery initiative is conducted in partnership with various stakeholders to achieve the following objectives:
· Facilitate connections between job seekers and prospective employers
· Provide a platform for organizations to present career and placement opportunities
· Offer registration services, career information, counseling, job search tools, and assessments to job seekers
· Deliver information on self-employment initiatives, cooperative ventures, financing options, and other supportive entities
Members of the media are invited to attend this event and cover the impactful services provided to the community.
