Employment and Labour Deputy Minister, Jomo Sibiya will tomorrow (31 March 2026) meet with Chinese business owners, especially those in retail and wholesale sector in an advocacy to ensure labour law compliance.
The latest Department's-driven advocacy session is targeting all Chinese employers that operate in Johannesburg at China Town and surrounding areas.
This month (10 March 2026) the Department conducted a similar advocacy with Chinese business owners in the Amajuba District in KwaZulu-Natal, especially those in the Newcastle textile belt.
Tomorrow's engagement will in addition to Deputy Minister's address be followed by presentations by the Department's Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) branch; the Commission for Conciliation Mediation (CCMA) and the Public Employment Services (PES) branch.
