The African organisation tasked with carrying out the objective to provide a forum for promoting and sharing ideas and experiences on strategies, techniques and practices for productivity enhancement, accelerated economic growth and social development in Africa, the Pan African Productivity Association (PAPA) will hold its General Assembly (GA) in a hybrid event a (virtual and physical) event to be held at Emperors Palace, Ekurhuleni, South Africa from 12-13 July 2022.
The GA, which is held every two years, will be hosted in South Africa in a collaboration between PAPA, International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the African Union Commission (AUC). The ILO is a United Nations (UN) agency whose mandate is to advance social justice and promote decent work by setting international labour standards. The ILO is devoted to promoting social justice and internationally recognized human and labour rights, pursuing its founding mission that social justice is essential to universal and lasting peace and brings together governments, employers and workers to set labour standards, develop policies and devise programmes promoting decent work for all women and men.
Secretary-General of PAPA and Productivity SA‘s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Mothunye Mothiba says one of the key outcomes of PAPA's GA, is to pave the way for more African countries to join PAPA.
