REQUIREMENTS: Qualification at NQF 7 as recognised by SAQA in Public Management / Business Management
/ Public Administration. A valid driver's license. Five (5) years' experience at Middle/Senior Management level in Fleet or Transport Management, Auxiliary Services and Facilities Management or Property Management. Knowledge: Government immovable Asset Management (GIAMA)19 of 2007, Fleet Management Policy, Public Service Financial Management, Departmental Policies and Procedure, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Regulations, Batho Pele Principles, Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OSHA), National Archive and Records Act (NAARA).
Skills: Communication, attention to details, Leadership, Planning and organization, Computer, Research, Networking, Coordination, Finance, Problem solving, Decision Making, Time Management, Managerial and supervision, Analysis.
DUTIES: Oversee the provision of fleet management service within the department. Ensure effective provision of efficient auxiliary services within the Department. Oversee the building lease portfolio and its budget. Oversee the State-owned portfolio, projects and infrastructure. Manage all the resources of the Directorate.

Prior to appointment, a candidate should therefore have proof that they have registered for the Pre-Entry Certificate and have completed the course. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical competency exercise that intends to test relevant technical elements of the job, the logistics of which be communicated by the Department, following the interview and technical exercise, the selection panel will recommend candidates to attend generic managerial competencies using the mandated DPSA SMS competency assessment tools.
