Deputy Minister Sibiya will lead a multidisciplinary Blitz Inspection in Gauteng Province

​The Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Jomo Sibiya, MP, will lead an intensive multidisciplinary Blitz Inspection on Thursday, 09 October 2025, 09:00 and members of the media are invited. The operation that seeks to ensure compliance will be conducted jointly with other law enforcement agencies and Government Departments in Gauteng.

The inspection follows a tip off received of Non- compliance with the labour laws and regulations that include among others, Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA, National Minimum Wage Act (NMWA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act (UICA) and; Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA).

It will also focus on the employment of undocumented foreign nationals.
