Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour to lead IES Agricultural Advocacy Session In Babanango, KwaZulu-Natal

As part of the Department of Employment and Labour's ongoing high-impact blitz inspections, Deputy Minister Jomo Sibiya will lead an Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) agricultural advocacy session in Babanango, located within the Ulundi Local Municipality in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The session will take place on Saturday, 26 July 2025.

Deputy Minister Sibiya will be joined by Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Ms Zoleka Capa, and Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Ms Bernice Swarts. This collaborative initiative highlights government's commitment to delivering integrated services and promoting compliance within the agricultural sector.

The session will provide access to a range of departmental services, including:

  • Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF)
  • Public Employment Services (PES)
  • Compensation Fund
  • Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES)

In addition, the Department of Employment and Labour has partnered with key stakeholders such as the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA), the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, the Department of Home Affairs, and other service delivery entities to ensure a comprehensive, one-stop service experience for the local community.
