The Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Boitumelo Moloi, is set to celebrate the 30-year milestone of freedom and democracy alongside domestic workers.
This significant event will be observed under the banner “Freedom for all", marking the acknowledgment of domestic workers under the COID Act 10 of 2022.
It's noteworthy that domestic workers are now protected under the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act (COIDA). The administration of COIDA is handled by the Compensation Fund, an entity of the Department of Employment and Labour.
