The Department of Employment and Labour will today launch a service delivery campaign aimed at bringing services closer to the communities in the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality. The five-day initiative is part of the preparatory activities leading up to the Presidential visit in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape.
During the campaign several services will be provided including processing of Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) applications, assessing claims, resolving UIF inquiries, processing Occupational Injuries and Diseases claims and inquiries; and conducting Inspection and Enforcement Services. Additionally, the Public Employment Services (PES) will offer job-seekers the opportunity to register their CVs on the Employment System of South Africa (ESSA) database as well as facilitating matches with potential recruiters.
Members of the public who wish to be assisted with the above-mentioned services are encouraged to bring along their Identity Documents/Valid Passport, Completed UI-19 form & Salary Schedule, Proof of residence, Bank-stamped UI-2.8 form; and Unemployed youth should bring along a detailed CV to be registered on the ESSA Database.
