The Department of Employment and Labour in partnership with the Eastern Cape Human Rights & Missing Person Unit, Walter Sisulu University and Mnquma Local Municipality will host a Taking Services to the People Campaign & Career Fair in Butterworth, Eastern Cape.
The event is aimed at bringing government services closer to the people by providing work seekers and the broader Butterworth community with direct access to government services, career-related programmes, self-employment initiative and networking opportunities with potential employers.
Community members will have access to the following services; Unemployment Insurance Fund applications, claims assessment and resolving inquiries, Inspection and Enforcement Services, processing of Occupational Injuries and Diseases claims. Also on offer will be the Public Employment Services (PES) where job-seekers will be afforded amongst other services an opportunity to register their CVs on the Employment System of South Africa database (ESSA).
In addition, various stakeholders will get an opportunity to present their current and future job opportunities, share learning, bursary and training opportunities to the unemployed also facilitate understanding of the world of work.

Members of the public that wish to be assisted with the above-mentioned services are encouraged to bring along the following documents:
· ID Documents/Valid Passport
· Completed UI-19 form & Salary Schedule
· Proof of residence
· Bank stamped UI-2.8 form
· Unemployed youth should bring along a detailed CV to be registered on the ESSA Database
