The Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) of the Department of Employment and Labour: Mpumalanga Province will begin a week-long mega blitz inspection in all sectors on Monday.

The mega blitz inspections will take place in and around Amersfoort, Belfast, Dullstroom, Lebombo, and Middelburg, with a focus on compliance with all labour laws. The inspections will be completed on Friday, 18 March 2022.

Compliance with the National Minimum Wage Act (NMWA), the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), the Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), and the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act will be the focus of the mega blitz inspections (COIDA).

The inspections are scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 16:00 p.m. daily.
