In a quest to strengthen social dialogue and advance a transformed South African labour market, the Department of Employment and Labour's Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) branch is set to host an Annual Employment & Labour Law Indaba 2026.

The Annual Employment & Labour Law Indaba 2026 will be held under the theme: “Strengthening Compliance in a Rapidly Changing Labour Market". The gathering is expected to attract over 250 delegates.

The Indaba is set to bring together government departments, the labour court, the International Labour Organization, employer representatives, and worker representatives to engage on employment and labour laws to promote compliance and strengthen partnerships in the world of work.

The purpose of the Annual Labour Law Indaba is to advocate and create awareness by educating both employers and employees of their rights, obligations, and responsibilities in terms of employment laws, and to ensure maximum compliance with employment laws through social dialogue.

The dialogue also seeks to promote consensus-building and democratic involvement among the main stakeholders in the world of work.

The Annual Employment & Labour Law Indaba 2026 will be held as follows:
