The Department of Employment and Labour is hosting a Women's leadership reception today 31 August 2026 to mark the closing of Women's Month led by Minister Nomakhosazana Meth.

The event will bring together women leaders and young emerging leaders from government, academia, business, politics, civil society and the international community.

The reception will provide an opportunity for an intergenerational dialogue on issues affecting women in the workplace and the labour market.  Discussions will focus on women's participation in the labour market, job creation, entrepreneurship, the future of work and the protection of workers in the workplace.

The event will also create an opportunity for women leaders to share experiences, build partnerships, provide mentorship and explore opportunities that can support the next generation of women leaders.
