The Department of Employment and Labour in the Free State hereby cautions the public that the Phuthaditjhaba Labour Centre has been affected by a water outage since the beginning of October 2025.

As a result, the Department has activated its Business Continuity Plan, which permits operations for a maximum of two hours per day in the absence of an alternative water supply. Accordingly, the Labour Centre has been operating Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 10:00, and will continue with this adjusted schedule until the matter is fully resolved.

The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public's

understanding and cooperation during this period.
