The Department of Employment and Labour will be embarking on a series of service delivery activities in the Lejweleputswa District building up towards the second leg of the District Development Model Presidential Imbizo to be held on 7 December 2023 in Welkom, Free State Province.

The District Development Model is an integrated planning model for cooperative governance which seeks to ensure integrated, district- based service delivery approach aimed at fast-tracking service delivery. This second leg of the Presidential Imbizo brings together all spheres of government and entities to offer much needed services to communities in the Lejweleputswa district.

A full basket of services which includes; processing of Unemployment Insurance Fund applications, claims assessment, resolving UIF inquiries, processing of Occupational Injuries and Diseases claims and inquiries, and Inspection and Enforcement Services will be accessible to clients.

Additional services to be offered will be the Public Employment Services (PES) wherein job-seekers will be afforded an opportunity to register their CVs on the Employment System of South Africa database (ESSA), through which they can be matched with prospective recruiters.

The service delivery initiative will be held as follows;

Members of the public that wish to be assisted with the above-mentioned services are encouraged to bring the following documents:

1. ID Documents/Valid Passport
2. Completed UI-19 form & Salary Schedule
3. Proof of residence
4. Bank stamped UI-2.8 form
5. Unemployed youth should bring along a detailed CV to be registered on the ESSA Database
