The Department of Employment and Labour wishes to inform members of the media and the public that the Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) Branch Annual Employment & Labour Law Indaba 2026 has been cancelled due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with other key events.

The Indaba was scheduled to take place from 19–20 May 2026 in Kempton Park under the theme: “Strengthening Compliance in a Rapidly Changing Labour Market."

This annual event is intended to serve as a platform to promote awareness and understanding of employment legislation by educating both employers and employees on their rights, obligations, and responsibilities. It also seeks to enhance compliance through ongoing social dialogue within the world of work.

The Department regrets any inconvenience caused and appreciates the understanding of all stakeholders, including members of the media.
