Department of Employment and Labour’s IES branch hosts EE awards to reward employers complying with legislation
24 April 2024

The Department of Employment and Labour is excited to announce the upcoming Employment Equity (EE) Dinner and Awards, a vital initiative under the Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) Branch.

The theme of the session, Labour Market Transformation Through Compliance with Employment Equity", underscores our commitment to fostering effective dialogue and partnerships among all stakeholders in the labour market. This dinner is specially designed to reward compliant employers on Employment Equity Legislation. This will serve as an incentive for other Employers to also comply with EE legislation.

It will further serve to advocate and create awareness by educating both employers and employees about their rights, obligations, and responsibilities in terms of employment equity legislation laws and to ensure maximum compliance.

The session promises to be an enlightening platform for all designated employers, offering an opportunity to engage in constructive dialogues, exchange ideas, and explore strategies to enhance compliance and promote equality within the labour landscape.

It is an occasion to not only hear from leadership but also to contribute to the shaping of policies and practices that will advance the transformation of the South African labour market.

Designated employers are strongly encouraged to attend this Dinner & Awards event.
