Employment and Labour Minister, Mr T.W. Nxesi has been deployed as District Development Champion to be in the Majuba District Municipality in KwaZulu Natal. The deployment is aimed at improving the coherence and impact of service delivery, look at ways of recovering the economy whilst assisting with the payment of Unemployment Insurance Fund Temporary Employer Employee Relief Scheme. The Minister is expected to engage Textile and Clothing Sector at Amajuba TVET College on Wednesday, 29 September 2020.
The integrated programme commences today, 28 September where Unemployment Insurance officials will engage employers in the Clothing and Textile Sector at the Chinese Chamber of Council. This would be accompanied by service delivery activities to employers rendered by officials of the Inspection and Enforcement Services, Public Employment Services and Compensation Fund.
On Wednesday, 29 September the Ministerial entourage will be visiting Amajuba Lodge to engage Worker Representatives and also do a walkabout at the service rendering stations by department officials. The Minister will further proceed to the local Labour Centre for a viewing of the newly built Employment Centre located within the local office.
As part of the economic recovery plan and a continuous service rendering, the team will proceed to work at the Chinese Chamber for the registration, declarations and processing of UIF and other related services for the week of 28 September to 02 October 2020.
