Employment and Labour Mbombela local office closed temporarily due to positive covid-19 case

The Department of Employment and Labour Mpumalanga, Mbombela Local Office has temporarily closed its office after an employee, who had been in contact with other 17 colleagues, tested positive to COVID-19.

The temporary closure of the Labour Centre will allow employees who have tested positive and who were in contact with the affected employees to self-isolate and for the necessary cleaning protocols of the office to be carried out as required.

“Due to the high number of officials affected by the pandemic at Mbombela Local Office, the province has deemed it fit to temporary close the office for the employees to self-quarantine and the office to follow all the necessary protocols in terms of decontamination," said Ms Margaret Mazibuko, Chief Director: Provincial Operations in Mpumalanga.   

The office was closed from today, 08 February 2021 and it is anticipated that it will reopen tomorrow.
