Department of Employment and Labour host an Employment Equity breakfast session on equal pay

The Department of Employment and Labour is excited to announce the upcoming Employment Equity breakfast session, a vital initiative under the Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) branch.

This important event is scheduled to be held under the theme: “Transformation starts in the mind”. It underscores the Department’s commitment to fostering effective dialogue and partnerships among all stakeholders in the labour market.

This workshop is specially designed for designated employers in KwaZulu-Natal, aiming to share valuable insights from the Director-General Reviews and to discuss the evolving roles and responsibilities in the South African labour market.

The Department is honoured to announce that Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour, Boitumelo Moloi will be delivering the keynote address at this session.

Her invaluable insights, particularly on the critical matter of "Equal Pay for Work of Equal Value," will provide a significant impetus to the discussions and deliberations of the day.

The Deputy Minister will share the stage with the Department’s IES branch Inspector General, Aggy Moiloa.

The session promises to be an enlightening platform for all designated employers, offering an opportunity to engage in constructive dialogues, exchange ideas, and explore strategies to enhance compliance and promote equality within the labour landscape.

It is an occasion to not only hear from leadership but also to contribute to the shaping of policies and practices that will advance the transformation of the South African labour market.
