The Department of Employment and Labour, together with the Department of Higher Education & Training, and Department of Small Business Development, will jointly host a Jobs/Career Fairs in Giyani on the 23rd May 2024, and Tzaneen on the 24th May 2024 respectively.
The Jobs/Career Fairs seeks to identify opportunities and solutions that can enhance the capacity of the Department and its partners to deliver on its mandate of facilitating employment for the unemployed people, especially the youth in Limpopo province.
The campaign is designed to also create a platform where employers and work seekers can interact with the purpose of ensuring that the unemployed and underemployed could access both work and learning opportunities.
The jobs fairs are aimed at achieving the following:
Alongside the Jobs/Career Fairs will be an Employers' Breakfast session, scheduled to take place on Friday, 24th May 2024 at Tzaneen Country Lodge. The department is also expected to have an engagement session with farm workers in Tzaneen, and also launch the self-help Compensation Fund-sponsored kiosks that have been set up inside the Tzaneen Labour Centre.
