Unique Cape Academy to empower budding contractors

Aspiring contractors in the Western Cape stand to obtain life time skills in the sector with the establishment of a Centre of Excellence due to be launched in Belhar, Cape Town this Friday (Feb 27).
The launch of the Lekamva Academy Construction Centre of Excellence – a product of a partnership between the Black Construction Council, the National Black Contractors and Allied Trades Forum and the Northlink FET College – is expected to enhance the potential of the many talented contractors.
While the Northlink College has eight other campuses in the Western Cape, the Belhar campus where the academy is based, primarily focuses on training and education for the construction industry.
Qualifications obtained at the Lekamva will be accredited by the Construction Education and Training Authority SETA.
Labour Minister Membathisi Mdladlana will deliver a keynote address of the launch.
