Eastern Cape villagers set to benefit from Youth Month Project

The Department of Labour in the Eastern Cape has partnered with the King Sabatha Dalindyebo Municipality and other government departments to host a youth information and Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) awareness day in Mqanduli on Thursday.
The project, which will help bring to villagers some of the sorely needed services, forms part of part of the ongoing Youth Month activities.
The department of labour will focus on registering of unemployed in the work-seeker database, career guidance and counseling, job hunting skills and UIF awareness and Compensation Fund.
Members of the public will also get an opportunity to apply for among others, Identity Documents, birth certificates and social grants by SASSA, while mobile clinic services will also be available.
Invitations have been extended to tertiary institutions, Seta’s FET Colleges to exhibit bursaries, internships and any other career opportunities that may be available in their institutions.
All unemployed youth and workers, as well as the media are invited. Details are as follows:
