Learners who normally work on Sundays are paid 1.5 times their
allowance, or double.

The Basic Conditions of Employment Act applies in respect of any matter not covered by this sectoral determination. See
Pay for Work on SundaysLearners who normally work on Sundays are paid 1.5 times their
allowance for each hour worked.
Employers must pay learners who do not normally work on Sundays
double their allowance for each hour worked.
Alternatively, learners may receive paid time off.
Any hours worked on Sundays is considered overtime.
An employer must grant paid time off within 1 month after a
learner has earned it. This period may be extended to 12 months
by written agreement.
