Employment and Labour Minister, Mr Thulas Nxesi, MP, will officially launch the Mt Ayliff Labour Centre as well as take on-the-spot services to the people of Matatiele and surrounds this coming Thursday 22 April 2021.
The Minister’s visit to the Alfred Nzo District comes after the Department through the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) partnered with Walter Sisulu University to implement learnership programmes for 5500 learners in the Eastern Cape with 300 learners coming from the district over a period of three years.
Training is provided on the following programmes: New Venture Creation NQF Level 2, Plant Production NQF Level 2, Animal Production NQF Level 2 and End User Computing NQF Level 3. Project beneficiaries in Matatiele are Ramafula site which offers New Venture creation programme and Zingcuka site offering Animal Production programme.
