Principle of the National Explosives Council
The Chief Inspector of Occupational Health and Safety in
accordance with Regulation 17 of the Explosives Regulations may form
the National Explosives Council if there is a need for their services.
The Explosives Council is only needed at specific times for specific
tasks and it is not necessary to keep them active or occupied through
the year. The groups addressed in paragraph three must nominate the
National Explosives Council members. They will be appointed by the
Chief Inspector of the Occupational Health and Safety for a period of
one year.
