The Department of Employment and Labour has postponed the Hospitality Sector seminar which was meant to educate its stakeholders about compliance with the National Minimum Wage (NMW) Act and other labour legislation.
The Hospitality Sector seminar is part of the Department's Inspections and Enforcement Services (IES) branch advocacy campaign to educate its stakeholders about compliance with labour legislation.
The seminar under the theme: “Paying the National Minimum Wage (NMW) is the right thing to do" has now been postponed until further notice.
The department has postponed the seminar following South Africa's State President Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement at the weekend on measures to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. The department wishes to apologise for inconvenience caused.
