The Department of Employment and Labour in Mpumalanga Province through the Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES), will be launching the IES tools of trade to inspectors in order to enhance their visibility and, to ensure that Stakeholders are able to recognise them as they conduct inspections in different workplaces.
A stakeholder engagement session will be held on the same day. This session seeks to advocate all employment laws to relevant stakeholders in the Mbombela area and, to educate and advise social partners on labour market policies.
Over 200 delegates comprising of, employees, employers, employer organisations, union representatives and other interested stakeholders are expected to attend the session.
Ahead of the session the Department will be conducting an integrated blitz inspection in the following sectors (Agriculture; Construction; Private Security; Wholesale and Retail) in and around Mbombela, whose results will be revealed by the Inspector General, Ms Aggy Moiloa on the 15th November 2019.
