Department of Employment and Labour Inspector General to lead inspection campaign in Clarens

The Department of Employment and Labour Inspector General Ms Aggy Moiloa, will lead a team of newly appointed Occupational Health and Safety inspectors that will be embarking on inspections in Clarens, Free State.

 

In line with the mandate of the Department’s Inspection and Enforcement Services (IES) Unit, the campaign seeks to ensure that employers and employees comply with labour legislation, educate stakeholders on labour legislation, register incidents relating to occupational health and safety matters, and further promote health and safety in the workplace.

 

This campaign will be preceded by the induction of 52 recently appointed inspectors who joined the provincial department recently. The appointment of the officials allocated across the provincial offices will further ensure that the department remains true to one of its core functions: regulating the labour market for sustainable economy through inspection, compliance, monitoring and enforcement.
