07 March 2018

The North West Department of Labour’s Compensation Fund unit has embarked on a series of outreach campaigns aimed at bringing services to the people and fast tracking registrations and finalisation of claims.

In striving towards improved service delivery in all areas of their mandate, the Department will not only focus on delivering services related to Compensation Fund only but provide a comprehensive package of services from all the business units within the Department.

The services that would be rendered on the day include assistance with claims and enquiries; Compensation Fund (CF) registration, processing and finalisation of claims in respect of Occupational Injuries and Diseases, Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) and Public Employment Services (PES).

The outreach programmes are held as follows:

DATE                 TIME                   VUNUE
06 March 2018    09:00 – 16:00    Ganyesa: Barolong Boo Tlou le Tau Tribal Offices.
07 March 2018    09:00 – 16:00    Bloemhof:  Bloefhof  Town hall
08 March 2018    09:00 – 16:00    Wolmaransstad –

09 March 2018    09:00 – 16:00    Ventersdorp – Tshing
 Community Hall

The Acting Chief Director provincial Operations, Mpai Moropa says these are other service delivery efforts by the Department to accommodate areas where there are no ideal labour centres and are serviced by nearby areas or through Mobile Units and Informal Offices.

“This is one of the ways we use to reach out to our vulnerable clients. Our targeted audience are communities that are far from services, workers in general, employers and the medical services fraternity he said.
