Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant engages Domestic Workers at an Imbizo in Ermelo, Mpumalanga

Labour Minister Mildred Oliphant will hold a Domestic Workers Imbizo on the 11 of April in Mpumalanga Stadium at Gert Sibande District to interact with the workers.

This Domestic Workers’ Imbizo is aimed at engaging Domestic Workers on improving their working conditions, general rights of workers; effects of labour legislation on the workers; and extension of social security benefits to workers such as the Unemployment Insurance Fund, the Compensation of Injuries and Disabilities Act, and pension benefits.

The intention of the engagements is to create awareness among domestic workers on their rights and ensure a high level of compliance in the sector to labour laws.

The Ermelo Imbizo is scheduled to take place on:

Venue: Mpumalanga Stadium – Ermelo (Gert Sibande District)

Time: 09:00 – 14:00
