Deputy Minister of Labour to commemorate World AIDS day, International day of people with disabilities and 16 days of Activism for No Violence against Women and Children in Durban

Deputy Minister of Labour, iNkosi Phathekile Holomisa and Director General (DG), Thobile Lamati, will commemorate World AIDS Day, International Day of People with Disabilities and 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children on Thursday 8 December 2016, in Durban.

World AIDS  Day is dedicated to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, reducing and stopping infections and mourning those who have died of the disease.

The Deputy Minister and DG will also be observing 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children, as well as International Day of Persons with Disabilities by calling for equal opportunities and fair treatment for people with disabilities in the workplace and communities.
