by lloyd last modified 2018-09-14 11:55

14 September 2018

In its quest to bring services closer to the people, the Department of Labour will be hosting a Service Delivery Campaign in Reitz, Free State, from the 19th to the 20th of September 2018. This campaign is aimed at rendering quality services of the Department and its entities right on the spot.

To that effect, the services of the following entities and branches of the Department will be offered to Reitz community members;

  • Unemployment Insurance Fund
  • Compensation Fund
  • Inspection and Enforcement Services and
  • Public Employment Services

This campaign will be held as follows;

Date: 19 September 2018; Venue: Petsana Community Hall

Date: 20 September 2018; Venue: Department of Labour Offices in Reitz

Time:09:00 – 15:00 (on both dates)

Members of the public looking for any of the services of the Department of Labour are therefore called upon to come in their numbers to access those. Furthermore, they are urged to bring relevant documentation for proper and instant processing of their service requests.

"Those clients with old applications for UIF or Compensation Fund, those with cases pertaining conditions of service as well as work seekers in and around Reitz are invited to this event. We are going to have a full complement of officials of the Department representing all functions to ensure effective delivery of services. These officials will be having mobile computers to assist and finalize claims (provided all relevant documentation is available) right on the spot," said Nomfundo Douw-Jack – Head of the Department of Labour in the Free State.

The campaign is used as one of many pro-active mechanisms the Department of Labour has adopted to try and speed up service delivery and ensure the livelihoods of our clients are maintained at all material times. This campaign is envisaged to be a comprehensive one stop shop for all services of the Department of Labour.
